Share your screen to present content

Traditional screen sharing allows you to present content directly from your device during a Teams meeting. You can share your entire screen, a specific application window, a PowerPoint presentation, a Whiteboard, or other collaborative content. Teams also provides presenter controls such as sharing system audio, giving control to another participant, and optimising content for video playback.

Quick hints and tips

  • If you are presenting with PowerPoint Live, ensure that Private View is disabled.

If Private View remains enabled, students will be able to move through slides independently and view content ahead of the presentation. Click on the icon in the top menu to disable private view.
