Why would a LIVE Form need to be edited?
On occasion errors can be missed during the development or review stages of form development and are only recognised once the form has been published and submissions have already been made.
How to edit a LIVE Form
- Select the form you wish to edit.
- Select the ‘Status’ tab if not already on it.
- Select the red ‘Un-publish’ button. Whilst the form is un-published, students will not be able to see the form.
- Select the ‘Fields’ tab.
- Select the blue ‘Edit Fields’ button. See the section below re. notification text if you want further clarification on this.
- Make changes to the form as required (e.g. update a field title) and select ‘Save’.
- Select the ‘Status’ tab, then the ‘Update Status’ button.
- In the popup set the ‘Published’ status and add a brief note explaining the changes made in the ‘Comments’ field.
A note R.E. the notification text
After selecting the ‘Edit Fields’ button (step 5 above), you may see two yellow bars containing notifications.
“This form is currently approved, if you click save it will be un-approved.”
This notification is informing you that the form has an approved status and will be set to un-approved once changes have been made to the form.
“As submissions exist for this form, only field properties and ordering can be changed.”
This notification is informing you that as submissions exist on this form, you can only make changes to existing field properties and ordering.
