What are the Mentimeter templates?

Overview

Designing and styling a Mentimeter presentation is just as important as building well-structured content in order to engage the audience. For this purpose, you can use themes that were designed by Mentimeter or themes that you wish to design yourself.

In this article, we will show you the themes that are available within the tool.

Mentimeter themes

Mentimeter has created many themes that you could use as a layout for your presentation, which are separated into two main categories.

  1. Organisation themes
  2. Default themes

You can access these themes once you opened a presentation and clicked on the ‘Themes’ sub-menu in the right-hand navigation bar. For more information about changing the theme of your presentation, please visit the following help article.

Your themes

You can also create your own theme. For more information about this, please visit the following help article. In summary, you would be able to customise the following features/elements:

  • Name and logo
  • Background type (which could be an image or a chosen color) and background opacity
  • Font family and font color
  • Visualisation color which would be used for graphics, separating lines, buttons, and many more

Please note, Mentimeter has an accessibility checker tool built in which will highlight any potential issues with your theme if it is not accessible. For more information about accessibility standards for a Mentimeter presentation, please visit the following help article.

Preview your presentation theme

We highly recommend previewing your presentation to ensure you get a better understanding of your student experiences. For more information about this feature, please visit the [following help article](http://preview%20your%20presentations/).

Share your presentation theme as a template

Once the theme is created, you can then share this template with your colleagues so they can re-use it. The template can include the theme only or can be shared with content as well. This can be useful if you wish to give access to the resource but in this instance, each colleague will own a copy of the resource rather than updating your original resource.

If you wish to share the resource with colleagues so they can directly adjust the content in your resource, you will want to give them collaborator access.

Re-use other presentation themes/templates

You can also re-use presentation themes (also known as templates) that were created by other authors. The templates are organised into categories for easier access and selection. The categories include:

  • Business & Meetings
  • Featured
  • Education
  • Quizzes
  • Icebreakers
  • Polls
  • Surveys
  • Workshops
  • Fun & Games
  • Word Clouds
