Why can I not share my Mentimeter presentation with other staff members?

Overview

n addition to student participation, Mentimeter presentations can be also shared with other staff members for collaboration purposes, however, you might experience an issue occuring where after entering a colleague’s e-mail address, the permission cannot be switched to ‘Edit’ but can be only ‘Comment’ or ‘View’. This means they would not be able to edit the content, only add comments or view it (’read-only view’). Additionally, the following warning message may appear:

‘Collaborators must be in your workspace: If you’d like to invite new collaborators, they need to join your workspace first. Please contact your admin for help.’

How to resolve the following issue?

The following issue occurs as the person with who you would like to share your presentation does not have a PRO licence Mentimeter account. They might have a UoP account that is being used for Mentimeter access, however, if it is not updated to a PRO licence (but still uses the free version of the tool), the system will not recognise them as a member of the team (also known as UoP workspace member).

To resolve the issue, please ask the person to access Mentimeter through the DLE to upgrade their account to a PRO licence which is free for all staff members. Please read the following supporting material for more information.
