Transcribing audio using Microsoft Word Online

What is Microsoft Word Online?

Microsoft Word Online can be used in a similar way as the offline application with less implemented features. It can be quite useful for you if, for example, you would like to work on the same document at the same time with multiple users for collaboration purposes.

How to access Microsoft Word Online?

To access Microsoft Word Online go to your OneDrive and click on the grid of 6 dots in the top left of the screen and choose Word.

Transcription

It can be used to create transcription for your video/audio file in a quick and simple way as it converts speech into a text transcript with each speaker individually separated. This saves you from typing each word manually.

You can either record directly in Word or upload an audio file. Please visit the following Microsoft helping material for more information. Please note that your audio file should not exceed 200 MBs as you will not be able to upload it into the tool.
