The Mentimeter app brings interactive polls, quizzes, word clouds and Q&A activities into Teams meetings. Participants can respond directly within Teams without needing to leave the meeting or enter a separate code, making it easy to engage students and gather instant feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note students must be using the Teams desktop app to be able to interact with presentations via the Mentimeter app (please make this sentence stand out).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a co-organiser or presenter you can embed the Mentimeter app following the steps below. Please see the video for an on screen walkthrough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding the Mentimeter App<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. To add Mentimeter to a Teams meeting, select Apps from the meeting controls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. If Mentimeter does not appear automatically, use the search box to find it and then select the app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The first time you use Mentimeter in Teams, you will be prompted to sign in and obtain a verification code from Mentimeter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. After signing in, your Mentimeter presentations and quizzes will be displayed in the panel on the right-hand side of the meeting window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Search for the presentation or quiz you want to use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Sharing the Mentimeter presentation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Hover over the presentation and select Share to make it available to participants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Students can interact with Mentimeter activities directly within Teams and do not need a separate device, browser window or participation code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Once opened, the Mentimeter app will remain pinned to the meeting toolbar for the duration of the meeting, providing quick access to your activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. In future meetings, you will need to add the Mentimeter app again via Apps, but you will not normally need to repeat the verification process too often.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
