The Accessibility+ Report is a detailed report that evaluates the accessibility compliance of your Moodle course content. It breaks down the accessibility checks into specific items and shows the compliance rates for each one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note the report does not check the accessibility of your uploaded files. All files should be checked in Microsoft Accessibility Checker before uploading to the DLE. Microsoft Accessibility checker is available as part of of the Microsoft 365 suite that all staff and students have access to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessing the Brickfield Accessibility Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If the course within the DLE has already been submitted for analysis, you will be able to access the reports in one of two ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To submit the course for analysis, please follow guidance in Getting started with Brickfield Accessibility Toolkit.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, the accessibility report can be accessed from \u2018More\u2019 in the secondary menu, then selecting \u2018Brickfield Accessibility+ Toolkit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, if you have installed the \u2018Accessibility+ Review block\u2019 in the right hand block menu, then you can access the report by clicking on the \u2018View Accessibility+ Report\u2019 icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will take you to the \u2018Accessibility+ Report\u2019 and the \u2018Check list\u2019 tab selected as the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understanding the Accessibility+ Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Checklist Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The default page that the Accessibility+ Report opens is the \u2018Check list\u2019 tab. The Check list report provides a list of the checks that have failed and all checks for the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Check list\u2019 has two different tabs, \u2018Show checks with errors\u2019 to view the checks with errors and \u2018Show all checks” to view all checks, regardless of whether errors exist for them or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Check list\u2019 view provides the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check: The part of the course that Brickfield has checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Guides: A help guide with further information on the check, include a summary and the impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Errors: Total errors that have occurred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Severity: The severity level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • View: Provides a link to the \u2018Error page\u2019 for all the errors which relate to this check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Fix: Where relevant, some checks have corresponding Fix wizards, which allow for bulk solutions (more information will be available in the Knowledge Base \u2013 Brickfield Accessibility+ Toolkit Wizards).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The check list is a good place to start when checking your course for accessibility as it guides you in how you can fix these errors. When referring to the \u2018fix\u2019 list those with a wrench can be fixed by you with the help of a wizard and those with a \u2018no\u2019 symbol will need to be fixed manually by you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Overview Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The Overview report provides the ability to access any enabled report and wizard within the toolkit. This report provides summary information on the activities and HTML content types of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Activity Breakdown Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The Activity breakdown report provides a breakdown of the pass rate and error totals per activity type for the course, with two different tabs. \u2018Display pass rate\u2019 to display the pass\/fail per activity type and \u2018Display error totals\u2019 to display the total error count per activity type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the \u2018Display pass rate\u2019 view the toolkit summarises the results per activity. Each activity with no detected errors is counted as passed, each activity with one or more detected errors is counted as failed. The ratio of passed to failed activities is then displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Content types report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The \u2018Content types\u2019 report provides a breakdown of the pass rate and error totals per HTML Content type for the course with two different tabs. \u201cDisplay pass rate\u201d to display the pass\/fail per HTML content type and \u201cDisplay error totals\u201d to display the total error count per HTML content type, which are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Layout<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Link<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Media<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Table<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Text<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The \u2018Display pass rate\u2019 tab shows ratio of passed to failed activities in total, per content type, such as Image, Link etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Summary Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Summary report provides a breakdown of the accessibility errors found within a individual course and is a combination of many of the Find tools found within the toolkit. You can download a PDF transcript of the course with a link called Download PDF located in the top right of the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Top errors: the most failed HTML checks and their total error count.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Failed activities: the top failed activity types and their total error count.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Check errors: the total error count for each HTML content type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Activity pass ratio: course activities and the total number that have passed or failed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Error Details (Showing first 10 errors) –\n

        • Activity: the activity name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Section: the course section the activity exists within.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Check: HTML check that failed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
