You can either use standard scales or you can also create custom scales which you can then use as a part of your marking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most activities will allow you to use scales, such as \u2018Assignment\u2019, \u2018Quiz\u2019, \u2018Forum\u2019, \u2018Glossaries\u2019, and <a href=\"https:\/\/digi-ed.uk\/support\/article\/activities-and-resources-in-moodle\/\">many more<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, we will show you how to create a custom \u2018Scale\u2019 in your Moodle course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to set up a Scale in your Moodle course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To set up a \u2018Scale\u2019 in your Moodle course, please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to create a Scale in your Moodle course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you would use the scales for an online submission point, you will need to create it first in the \u2018Grades\u2019 menu of your Moodle course. To do this, please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please navigate to your Moodle course and then click on the \u2018Grades\u2019 menu from the navigation bar. to finalise your action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to mark a submission using a Scale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark a submission using the newly created scale, please follow the steps below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please navigate to the grading table by clicking on the \u2018View all submissions\u2019 button under an \u2018Assignment\u2019 activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once you are in there, please select a student submission that you will need to mark using the newly created scale (blue \u2018Grade\u2019
