H5P enables you to quickly create rich, interactive, and adaptive content with game mechanisms as part of a formative assessment which can enhance your course as the engagement would be increased. More information about the tool can be found on the H5P support site<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, we will show you how to upload an H5P object to a Moodle course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to upload an H5P object to a Moodle course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please keep in mind that you should only use this feature if your H5P object is not stored anywhere in the DLE. If it is stored, then please read the following article<\/a> about how to import an H5P object into a course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To upload an H5P object to a Moodle course, please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Please navigate to your Content bank and click on the \u2018Upload\u2019 button that appears in its navigation bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A new page will open where you will need to click on the \u2018Choose a file\u2026\u2019 button in order to upload a file from your machine (including OneDrive). Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file into the box. In this case, we will use the \u2018Choose a file\u2019 button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. A new window will pop up which is going to be the \u2018File picker\u2019 of the DLE. In addition to your machine (\u2019Upload a file\u2019 and \u2018OneDrive\u2019), you can also re-use files that you have recently accessed (\u2019Recent files\u2019) or the files that are currently stored in a course (\u2019Content bank\u2019, ‘Server files’), or on \u2018Wikimedia\u2019. In this case, we will upload a file (H5P object) from our machine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If you wish to import a file from another course, you need to select the \u2018Content bank\u2019 option. For more information, please visit the following help material<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Please note, if you wish to upload a file from your machine, its size can not exceed 100 MB, otherwise the uploading process will not be completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Once the file is selected from your machine, you will need to click on the \u2018Upload this file\u2019 button. Except for your machine, the file will have an existing name that you can not modify here, however, the author, and the license type you can, based on preferences.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Once you have selected the file, you will need to click on the \u2018Save changes\u2019 button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
