Not having meaningful links, distract the user away from the teaching content or the information that is been provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">An example of a meaningful link: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Plymouth website<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-danger\">An example of an unedited URL link: https:\/\/www.plymouth.ac.uk\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good colour for links within the blue spectrum as this is most recognised across the different forms of colour blindness. Links are also identified by the underline which they are automatically given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add meaningful links.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be consistent, such as using the same colour for all links.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use colour as one way to identify a link (blue would be a good choice).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use underline on links or use an icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid using the underline in paragraph text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid using capitalised words and sentences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be consistent, concise, descriptive and clear, to provide an inclusive, user-friendly environment that is suitable not just for learners with accessibility issues but for all users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Meaningful link colour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with any text within the document, there should be a good contrast between the text colour and the background page class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding meaningful hyperlinks in a Word document<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add or edit a hyperlink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Highlight the meaningful text you wish to turn into a link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the \u2018Insert\u2019 Tab from the top menu options<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the \u2018link\u2019 icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paste your URL link in the
