  1. In the secondary menu, click Participants<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select Enrolment Methods<\/strong> from the dropdown near the top-left

  3. Click the Enable <\/strong>icon next to \u2018Self enrolment\u2019.

  4. Click the Edit <\/strong>icon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    There are several settings for self enrolment. Click the help icon next to the field for
    further information on what they do. Some of the key settings are outlined next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You don\u2019t need to add a \u2018Custom instance name\u2019 if you are not adding an Enrolment
    key or you only want one self enrol to all option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can have more than one self enrolment type on a course. E.g. you may
    want to have a self enrolment for teacher access and a password and a separate
    one for students with a different password. You can give each instance a separate
    name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Key settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Set \u2018Allow new enrolments\u2019 to Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Add a password to the Enrolment key<\/strong> field if you want to restrict access to a
      specific group. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      You will need to send the Enrolment key to anyone you wish to enrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Clicking the eye <\/strong>icon will display the Enrolment key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. The \u2018Default assigned role\u2019 is set to Student, you can change this if you wish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click Save changes<\/strong> when you have finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
