This article explains how to setup and apply an extension to a student(s), such as in the event of extenuating circumstances and the deadline is to be amended for them for a given time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">You must have permissions within the workspace to be able to action this. By default, if you are a &#8216;lead tutor&#8217; on the workspace, you will be able to action extensions unless the default permissions have been customised in the workspace. If you find you cannot see some of the buttons mentioned below, check with a colleague that helps admin the workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setup and apply an extension<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Login to PebblePad &gt; ATLAS and navigate to the relevant workspace.<\/li><li>Select Management &gt; Assignments.<\/li><li>Hover over the icons to the right of the assignment you want to setup an extension for a student(s). Select the icon that says \u2018Manage extensions\u2019 in the middle of the group of icons.<\/li><li>Select the \u2018Add new extensions\u2019 button.<\/li><li>Update the number where it says \u2018Extend all deadline dates by\u2019. Notice the amended deadline information changes to reflect this on the right of the page.<\/li><li>Filter the student(s) you want to provide an extension for.<\/li><li>Select the checkbox next to the student(s) you want to provide an extension for.<\/li><li>Notice the radio selection asking if you would like to notify the student(s) by email of their new deadline. This is up to you if suitable.<ul><li>Sometimes selecting Yes here could cause some confusion unless at least followed up with an additional email to let the student know what this means.
